ElderLink is pleased to present Caring for You, Caring for Me, a free signature program of the Rosalynn Carter Institute.

“Caring for You, Caring for Me” is a blend of interactive support and education for caregivers of older adults. Join us to learn more about caregiving, methods of coping with stress, resources available, and ways to work with your loved one to make caregiving more successful. You’ll also be able to share concerns with others in a similar role!

This free 5-week program meets for 2 hours weekly, and focuses on a different topic each session. Topics include:

Feb 26 | What it Means to be a Caregiver
Mar 5 | Taking Care of Yourself
Mar 12 | Building Cooperative Relationships
Mar 19 | Preventing and Solving Problems
Mar 26 | Accessing and Developing Resources

Family, professional and volunteer caregivers who are providing assistance or support to persons with long term illnesses or disabilities can all benefit from this program.

One caregiver shared: “[The workshop] makes me realize that I am not struggling with caregiving by myself; that there are ways and resources available to meet the challenge; that I need a certain amount of caregiving myself; and that it is important to the effectiveness of my responsibility.”
